Memorial Day event

In stark contrast to last year, hundreds of people filled the grounds of the Carolina Field of Honor at Triad Park on Monday to remember the nation’s fallen servicemen and women during the site’s annual Memorial Day ceremony.
Last year’s ceremony was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but with the recent lifting of mask mandates and mass gathering restrictions as more people get vaccinated, a large crowd assembled around the memorial to pay their respects to all those who paid the ultimate price for their service.
