Kernersville in 2024

As Kernersville welcomes 2024, the community anticipates a year filled with potential, transformative developments and exciting prospects.
“2023 was an amazing year for the Town of Kernersville,” said Kernersville Mayor Dawn Morgan. “The town bought several properties for future expansion of Ivey Redmon Park. We completed the Greenway, which had been in planning and under construction for many years. We saw the groundbreaking, we saw the celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the [Kernersville] Fire Department and, importantly, the fire department achieving the ISO rating of 1, which is the highest rating awarded for excellence and fire protection. Then we had many exciting groundbreakings because we had the Beesons Crossroads Fire Station expansion. We had the Kernersville Recreation and Events Center construction groundbreaking and we celebrated the completion of the Civitan Park improvements. So, a lot of great projects happened in 2023.”
