Kerner Road annexation

The Kernersville Board of Aldermen (BOA) addressed a number of matters at their meeting on Dec. 6 at the Kernersville Municipal Chambers.
The first issue was a public hearing for the Kerner Road Annexation for 55.669 +/ acres of property that had been continued from the Nov. 1 meeting.
At the November 1, 2022 BOA meeting, a concerned citizen asked questions at the hearing regarding the acreage and land to be included in the annexation petition. After review with the Town’s part-time surveyor, Steve Bowers, and the applicant’s surveyor, the decision was made to remove the Kerner Road right-of-way from the petition to avoid any confusion.
