A former assistant coach for the men’s basketball team at Wake Forest University won’t serve any time in jail for his part in the death of a man he punched nearly two years ago.
Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced the decision on Thursday, saying that Jamill Jones, 37, has been sentenced to probation and community service following a jury conviction earlier this year for assault in the third degree.
