Belews Creek – Mr. Frank Ray Ingram, 91, passed away May 27, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Forsyth County on February 13, 1925 to the late Rosa Barrow and Henry Gordon Ingram. Frank was a graduate of Kernersville High School, a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed with the D.O.T. for 38 years. He loved gardening and his church, Goodwill Baptist where Mr. Ingram was a Deacon, a Sunday School Teacher, and served as Church Sexton for over 35 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Annie Myrtle Fulton Ingram, two sisters; Rachael Stephens, and Lucy Warren, four brothers; Raleigh, Glenn, Virgil, and Fred Ingram.
Surviving are; one son; Gerald (Kathie) Ingram, one daughter; Sandra (Mark) Hoots, two grandsons; Brad Ingram, and Matthew Hoots; one sister; Melrose Johnson, and one brother; Vernon Ingram.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday at Goodwill Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Mullis officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Monday evening at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Goodwill Baptist Church in the name of Mr. Ingram, 3110 Piney Grove Rd. Kernersville, NC 27284. Online condolences may be made to www.hayworth-miller.com
