Hometown Christmas

Kernersville’s Hometown Christmas features the Spirit of Christmas Trees. They are trees that civic organizations, individuals, and businesses adopt or buy to decorate. The trees can be decorated in honor or in memory of someone or something special. They can also be decorated with a theme.
The Kernersville Museum has had Christmas trees at their location before, but it is their fourth year doing the Spirit of Christmas Trees.
“Four years ago, we just came up with this idea, and it began slower, and we had fewer trees. We expanded every year. This year it is the most expansive because we have trees in other parts of town,” said Rick Pierce, president of the Kernersville Museum Foundation.
