Hendrick, Sr.

Tom Hendrick, Sr., 86, went home to be with the Lord November 26, 2015.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 1:00PM Monday November 30, 2015 at the Cherryville City Cemetery in Cherryville, NC.
A native of Cherryville, Tom was the son of the late Ella Clarine Allran and John William Hendrick. He went to Cherryville High School and later Appalachian University, Wake Forest University, and later High Point College(now High Point University). He served his country during the Korean War with the United States Air Force. He was retired from Life of Georgia Insurance Company.
Tom was a member of Friedland Moravian Church and served as a Scoutmaster with the church Boy Scout Troop. He was a Mason and member of the Kernersville Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, Tom was also preceded in death by a sister Betty Ray Hendrick.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years Bobbie Carswell Hendrick of the home; sons Tommy Hendrick, Jr. and Debbie of Kernersville, and Johnny Hendrick and Margie of Winston-Salem; grandchildren John Mark Hendrick, Jr., Charles “Chuck” Hendrick, Amanda Hendrick, Brittany Hendrick, and Adam Bryan Hendrick; great-grandchildren Kaylin, Haylee, Jaylin, and Jaxson; and numerous extended family and friends.
The family will visit with friends from 4-6pm Sunday afternoon at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services in Kernersville.
