Helping pets survive fires

Fur-Ever Friends of N.C. (FFNC) is asking for the Kernersville community’s help in raising funds to place pet oxygen masks on fire trucks.
Last month, FFNC launched the Pet Oxygen Mask Donation Program with the goal of raising $10,000 so each fire truck in Forsyth County can be equipped with two sets of pet oxygen masks.
According to Kernersville resident and FFNC founder Jennifer Tierney, FFNC provided life-saving pet oxygen masks for fire trucks in the county in 2008, but over time, that equipment has degraded from use and must be replaced.
