Harvey Smith turns 100

Born on May 8, 1915, Harvey Smith celebrated his 100th birthday this past Friday. One of his birthday gifts was given to him by the Duke University basketball team. “They gave him an authentic Duke basketball jersey with his name on it and the number 100,” said Landon. “He’s been a big Duke fan since the 1930s.” For more, see the Saturday/Sunday, May 9 & 10, 2015 edition.
