Harris Hal C. Harris, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on January 18, 2016 as he was surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Kernersville First Baptist Church with Pastor Dr. Stephen D. Martin officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church.
A native of Catawba County, Hal was the son of the late Alene Robinson and Rev. Parks Cook Harris. He also was preceded in death by his son Patrick Mark Harris, and a brother Toby Harris. Hal served his country with the United States Air Force. He was a member of Kernersville First Baptist Church since 1971 where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Go Forth Sunday School Class, and very active in the Baptist Men of the church.
He retired from Davis Insurance Services as their Marketing Director. He was an avid golfer, and loved his sports in general.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years Pat Truelove Harris of the home; son Michael Anthony Harris of Kernersville; grandson Tyler Bailey Harris of Kernersville; sister Joy Harris of Newton; brothers Joel Harris and Jan of Newton, Jim Harris and Frances of Greenville, and David Harris of Cary; several nieces, nephews, and extended family; a very special “grandson” Anthony Mark Bailey, and a very special “granddaughter” Kyndall Brown Graham.
