Robinell “Robbie” Haneline, 81, passed away August 10, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Funeral services celebrating her life will be 11:00AM Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Union Cross Baptist Church of Kernersville. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall.
Robbie was born October 21, 1934 in Winston-Salem to the late Fannie Cundiff Reavis and Henry Clarence Reavis. She is also predeceased by her husband of 61 years George Philip Haneline and a son Kent Devan Haneline.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters Karen Haneline Nifong and Randy and Reva Haneline Whisenhunt; son Kennon Lane Haneline and Cheryl; grandchildren Anna Haneline, Kayla Haneline, Danielle Whisenhunt, Samuel Nifong, and Jarret Nifong and 4 great-grandchildren.
Robbie was a graduate of Griffith High School in Winston-Salem and attended Forsyth Technical Community College. She was a member of Union Cross Baptist Church, serving the church in many areas including the 50th anniversary history book, homecoming chairperson, youth group and secretary and treasurer of the Ruth/Lydia Class.
Beginning in 1973, she was the Director and Coach of the Kernersville Raiders Cheerleading Team. She was the Vice-Chairperson of the Northwest Midget Football League and the Scholastics Director of the Mid-South Region. In 1989, Robbie was the Pop Warner National Volunteer of the Year presented June 12, 1990 in Philadelphia. She was the Kernersville host to Chinese and Tipei track and field and basketball teams during the 1999 Special Olympics World Games.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 17 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Union Cross Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care or Union Cross Baptist Church.
