Margaret J. “Peggy” Hale, 64, of Athens, GA, died Thursday, July 21, 2016. A native of Milford, Mass, she was the daughter of Grace DeMattia Nealon of Milford, Ma. and the late Joseph P. Nealon. She was a 1970 graduate of St Mary’s CCHS in Milford, Ma and received her registered nursing certificate from Framingham Union School of Nursing. Mrs. Hale was a long-time resident of Athens and retired from Athens Regional Medical Center in 2013 and had also worked at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; Robert P. “Bob” Hale of Athens; sons: Joseph (Paige) Hale of Athens, Ryan (Jamie) Hale of Athens; sister Judy Brown of Hopedale, MA.; grandchildren: Vivian, Emily, Charlie and Henry Hale all of Athens. She also leaves many family members in Massachusetts and North Carolina. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Epps Bridge Parkway Campus. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
