Guilty plea

A Kernersville woman will spend the next several years in prison after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter in Forsyth Superior Court on Monday in the death of her roommate last October.
Evelyn Ann Floyd, 53, of Glennview Drive, had been accused of fatally shooting Steven Darrell Landreth, 49, on October 9, with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) describing the incident as domestic in nature at the time.
