Mary Lee Tilley Greenwood, 86, went home to be with the Lord January 12, 2016.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00PM Friday January 15, 2016 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with Rev. Phil Bauguess officiating.
A native Surry County, Mary Lee was the daughter of the late Ollie Cleo Shaw and Hugh Tilley. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by husband of forty-five years Howard Greenwood, Sr., sisters Gertrude Jessup, Dorothy Milton, and Louise Cole, and her brothers James Tilley and Winfred Tilley.
A homemaker, Mary Lee had been a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Mt. Airy and also the Sedge Garden Home Extension Club.
Survivors include her children Linda Cappel and Bob of Kernersville, Brenda Lowstetter of Winston-Salem, Howard Greenwood, Jr. and Karan of Pfafftown, Dennis Greenwood and Tamara of Winston-Salem, and Carolyn Flynt and Tom of Walkertown; grandchildren Stacy Cappel of Kernersville, Leah Greenwood of Raleigh, Trey Greenwood of Wilson, and Dylan Greenwood of Winston-Salem; brother Gene Tilley of Barclay, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home on Friday.
