Earlier this month, the Kernersville Board of Aldermen approved how to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in legislative funding, following a narrow scope of uses provided by the state. The money won’t be spent all in one place, but instead will be divided between police, fire and road resurfacing.
Town Manager Curtis Swisher briefed aldermen on how the money – a $400,000 infrastructure grant from the N.C. General Assembly – can be spent during the Board’s March 30 and April 5 meetings. For more, see the Thursday, April 28, 2022 edition.
