Embezzlement allegation

A former employee at Gospel Light Baptist Church pleaded guilty in Forsyth District Court on Friday to charges related to an embezzlement allegation by the church in December 2020.
Leah Whiteheart Dunbar pleaded guilty to two counts of obtaining property by false pretense in front of District Court Judge Lawrence J. Fine, the Forsyth County District Attorney’s Office reported.
Officials said that the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) was contacted by Gospel Light Baptist Church, located at 890 Walkertown Guthrie Road, on December 10, 2020, regarding a potential embezzlement.
