Educating students

Health teachers at middle and high schools across the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System (WS/FCS) are turning to the words of one Kernersville author to help remind students why they should say “no” to drugs. Nancy Sutton, WS/FCS health and physical education program specialist, said the school system has partnered with Patty Jo Sawvel to supply each of the health teachers with a copy of her book, “Under the Influence: The Town That Listened to its Kids.” For more, see the Tuesday, Nov. 20 edition.
