Louis Radford Dollarhite, 76, went home to be with the Lord May 10, 2015.
Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 11:00AM Thursday May 14, 2015 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
A native of Patrick County, Virginia Louis was the son of the late Lucy Mildred Powell and Jesse Dollarhite. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Frances Pope Dollarhite, brothers James Dollarhite, Ernest Dollarhite, Lyle Dollarhite, Raymond Dollarhite, and Joe Dollarhite.
A farmer all of his life, Louis truly was an “outdoorsman”. A friend to all, Louis never met a stranger and was one of the most respected and humble men anyone could ever meet. He truly was connected to his Mules “Polly” and “Dolly”. He was a longtime member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years Dorothy “Dot” Redmon Dollarhite of the home; daughters Wanda Dollarhite Stuart and David, Joyce Redmon and Darryl, and Renea Dollarhite all of Kernersville; sons Travis Dollarhite and Sherri, and Ricky Dollarhite and Andrea all of Kernersville; grandchildren Dustin Redmon and Amanda, Josh Redmon and Leslie, Jessica Beamon and Jamie, Lauren Walker and Wesley, Jesse Dollarhite, and Anna Dollarhite; great-grandchildren Mason, William, and Dillinger; step-children Steve Landreth, Lynn Grubbs, and Cheryl Calcutt and Keith; step-grandchildren Jeffrey Grubbs, Tonya G. Dew and Alex, Courtney Calcutt, Whitney Calcutt, Heather Altman and Jerry, and Taylor King; step-great-grandchildren Karleigh, Kynlee, Haylee, Carter, and Arley; sisters Mary Willard, Lucille Moore and M.K., and Mildred Smith and Ernest; brothers Carl Dollarhite, William Dollarhite, and Walter Dollarhite; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel in Kernersville.
