Lawmakers in the N.C. General Assembly introduced a compromise state budget on Monday that they believe reflects “considerable concessions” to Democrats. It is expected the legislature will vote on the compromise budget this week.
“We have worked diligently for nearly two months in negotiations with the Governor and our democrat colleagues. I’m optimistic that the budget will have a strong bipartisan vote and I hope that Gov. Cooper will sign it into law. I will soon be sharing the specifics as it regards to District31,” said Senator Joyce Krawiec (R-Forsyth).
