Commercial fire

On Sunday, April 18 at 11:56 a.m., the Kernersville Fire Rescue Department (KFRD) was dispatched to the 300 block of West Bodenhamer Street at Becks Automotive to a reported commercial building fire.
KFRD officials said the first engine arrived within a couple minutes to find smoke showing from the building. Fire crews promptly began fire suppression measures, with the fire being brought under control at 12:22 p.m. Officials said the fire was contained to the same bay the fire originated in within the building and one person suffered from minor smoke inhalation, and all other workers successfully escaped without harm.
The KFRD was assisted by the Colfax Fire Department, Piney Grove Fire and Rescue, Forsyth County Fire Department and Forsyth County Emergency Services. There were no further reported injuries to civilians or fire department personnel. The cause of the fire has been ruled as unintentional.
