Ann Wood Colbert, 73, went home to be with her Lord June 8, 2015.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 12:00PM Noon Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Oaklawn Baptist Church with Rev. John E. Hackworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
A native of Kernersville, she was the daughter of the late Alna Mae Flynt and Woodrow Lee Neugent. She was married to the late Timothy B. Britt who died from injuries due to an automobile accident in 1970. She later married Jack R. Wood who died from Cancer in 1984. She would marry W. Greg Colbert in 1991 and he died also from Cancer in 2011.
She was a member of Robinhood Road Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher, sang in the Choir and also for the Nursing Home Ministry of the Church. She found great joy in her family, particularly being a Grandmother and caring for all of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children Brenda Britt of Winston-Salem, Kelley Britt Branch and Jason of Colfax, and Stephen R. Wood and Nelva of Winston-Salem; grandchildren Chandler Branch, Connor Branch, Kevin Rocha, and Jack C. Wood; sister Nancy Stone and Charles of Bermuda Run; and nephews Chuck Stone and Keith Stone.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Wednesday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home.
