Kernersville – James Francis Blue, 82, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at his home. James was born March 19, 1934 in Hoke County to James Marvin and Ruth Carrigg Blue. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and retired from RJR Archer in 1991. James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved to travel and loved sharing good food with friends! He was a charter member of Chapter G serving as Chapter Director, GWRRA and a lifetime member. James lived life to the fullest and had a heart that filled every room he was in! In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Frances McKaughan Blue. Surviving are his children, J.Duke Blue; Tina Anderson (Nathan) and Elesa B. Hurley (Bob); three grandchildren, Dustin Blue, Jordan Williams (Kyle) and Stacie Anderson; two sisters, Mary Schaub (Joe) and Daisy Bruson (Mike). A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Vass, NC with Pastor Bill Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
