Baker

Baker Jacqueline Joyce McWilliams Baker passed peacefully from her earthly body into her heavenly body on Friday, March 18, 2016. Jackie was a beautiful lady, known for her wit, her charm, and her clever sense of humor. She was deeply loved and greatly admired by her family and friends, and she will be sorely missed by those who mourn her passing.
First and foremost, Jackie was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Dick for 60 years until his death in 2008. She was a caring, insightful, and, dedicated mother and grandmother to her five children, 13 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. The sparkle in Jackie’s engaging blue eyes will be missed by those of us left behind who loved her dearly, but what sweet peace it brings us to know that she is once again holding hands with and smiling at her beloved husband in heaven.
Jackie was born August 2, 1928 to Charles McWilliams and Isabelle Warner McWilliams. She was the third of 5 daughters. Along with her husband Dick, she was predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Elva Snyder and Jeanne Miller. Along with her sisters Dorothy Leamy and Phyllis Helm, Jackie is survived by her loving children, Georgia (Ron) Padgett of Jacksonville, FL, Ginny (Henry) Kramer of North Potomac, MD, Cindy (Tim) Montgomery of Kernersville, NC, Eddie (Betsy) Baker of Downingtown, and Dickie (Krissy) Baker of West Chester. Also surviving are her 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held at 11 am on Thursday, March 24 at East Brandywine Baptist Church, 999 Horseshoe Pike, Downingtown. Pastor John Haas will be officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects to the immediate family from 10 to 11 am at the church prior to the service.
Interment will be in the East Brandywine Baptist Church Cemetery, Downingtown.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made in Jackie’s memory to the worthy cause of your choice.

Jackie’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Kerner Ridge Assisted Living for the tender and loving care Jackie received during her time as a resident there. They would also like to say a special thank you to Jackie’s roommate Doris Ballenger for her companionship and devotion to Jackie over the past several months.
