Baker

Glenn Ray Baker, age 78 of Kernersville, NC, passed away on June 12, 2022 at his home. Glenn was born February 16, 1944 in Burlington, NC to parents Charles and Maude (Meadows) Baker. He was one of eight children.
Glenn grew up in Kernersville, NC. He attended school in Kernersville. He was employed in construction most of his life. Glenn joined the Marine Corps in 1961. He honorably served his country in the Vietnam War. While fighting in the jungles, Glenn accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Glenn had a passion for hunting, fishing and Corvettes. Glenn enjoyed collecting and selling gold and jewelry. Glenn was always proud of being a Marine.
Surviving are Glenn’s wife Panisara (Angel) Baker, son John Baker (wife, Stacey Goad Baker) and granddaughter (Lillian). Also surviving, one brother John M. Baker (wife, Shirley) and numerous nieces and nephews and special lifetime friend Walter Young.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Francis Stigall, Brenda Lane, Linda Young, Jane Smith; as well as two brothers, Buddy R. Baker and George L. Baker.
Celebration of Life will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church July 16, 2022 Saturday at 11:00 AM. Pastor Steve Roberson will be officiating.
