Carolyn G. Badgett, 71, went home to be with the Lord June 22, 2015.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Thursday June 25, 2015 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with Rev. Rob Decker officiating. Interment will follow in Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery.
A native of Forsyth County, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Eula Mae Hauser and Gilmer Robert Griffin, Sr. She was married to Larry Coleman Badgett, who survives, in 1961. She graduated from Kernersville High School Class of ’61 and was retired from Sears in Winston-Salem. An avid antique collector, she was especially passionate about her love of any antique clock she would find.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her daughter Tanya Marie Badgett, grand-daughter, Lily Gail Badgett, and her brothers Gilmer Robert “Bobby” Griffin, Jr. and Harry Stephen “Steve” Griffin.
Survivors include her loving husband Larry Badgett of the home; daughter Rhonda Badgett Phelps and Ricky of Kernersville; son Neil Badgett and Cindy of Walnut Cove; grandchildren Nicholas Harris, Alexander Harris, Loretta Edens, Jonathan Phelps, Nathan Phelps and Laura, Zachary Badgett, Olivia Badgett, Eva Badgett, Chloe Badgett, and Ashleigh Phillips; great-grandson Cooper Edens; sister Betty Jane Smith of Henderson; brother Wayne Griffin and Marilyn of Kernersville; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will visit with friends from 6-8PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
