Retired local Attorney Bill Apple has filed his candidacy for the Kernersville Board of Aldermen race, putting his name in the hat at the Forsyth County Board of Elections office in downtown Winston-Salem on Wednesday.
All five aldermen seats and the mayoral seat are up for election in the November 2 municipal election.
Apple said the primary driving factor in his decision to seek a seat on the Board comes from a desire to serve.
