After another firearm was found at a high school on Thursday, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS) Superintendent Tricia McManus held a press conference later that afternoon to further address what has become a concerning issue for not only the school district but law enforcement.
According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO), an anonymous tip received by a FCSO school resource officer and WS/FCS led to the recovery of a handgun on the campus of Mount Tabor High School.
The FCSO reported that the SRO located the student involved and secured the weapon without incident or harm to any other students or teachers. For more, see the Saturday/Sunday, September 25 & 26, 2021 edition.
