KERNERSVILLE – Todd Wayne Allen, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 8, 2022, due to complications from an ATV accident. Todd was born on February 6, 1965 in Guilford County to the late Joseph Edward Allen, IV and Linda Dennis Allen. He was a retired Captain with Kernersville Fire Department and owner of Allen Services in Kernersville. Todd enjoyed working on cars and was restomodding his ’67 Firebird. Another favorite pastime, was spending time with family on the lake.
Todd was a wonderful husband, father and “PopPaw” and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Allen; two children, Joe Allen (wife, Jessica), and Jordan Allen; two grandchildren, AnneMarie Allen and Everleigh Allen; his faithful canine companion, Luna Bug; one brother, Paul Higgins (Sharon); one sister, Tonya Shaw (Tony); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Mike Carr officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
