Ellis, Cleveland Hobart photoKernersville – (C.H.) Cleveland Hobart Ellis passed away on Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after a 12 year battle with Parkinson’s. He was born June 4, 1943 to Odell Ellis and Topsie Scott Ellis in Stokes County, North Carolina.
C.H. worked for Pepsi Cola for 42 years as a Route Salesman and received the President’s Ring of Honor for his service. He liked Nascar, yard work and fishing and loved spending time with his family. He was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kernersville.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years Patricia Vogler Ellis, two sons: Larry Ellis (Darlene) and Ricky Ellis (Allison); three grandsons: Bradley Ellis, Ryan Matthew Ellis (Ashley) and Ricky Ellis; great-grandson Logan Ellis; stepgrandchildren: Courtney and Jonathan Floyd and Brent Sams; survived by one brother and three sisters.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10th at Salem Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be Friday, March 11th at 11: 00 a.m. at Kernersville First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 212 Dobson Street, Kernersville, NC. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
A special thank you to the CNAs and caregivers who looked after C.H. for the past several years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
