Raising teacher supplements was once again the subject of discussion this week when interim Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS) Superintendent Kenneth Simington briefed Forsyth County Board of Commissioners on the issue Thursday afternoon.
Simington reminded commissioners of their approval of a $3.7 million appropriation for teacher supplements for the 2019-2020 school year that was included in this year’s budget ordinance as a start to raising WS/FCS teacher supplements into the top five districts in the state.
