The North Carolina Department of Transportation has begun preparations to cut down four trees along South Main Street which pose a hazard to the public.
On Thursday, crews began work on one of the trees near Main Street United Methodist Church which overhangs both the road and a playground and three others – including one at Shoppes on Main. For more, see the Saturday/Sunday, Jan. 5 & 6 edition.
