Roddy

Merle Bryson Roddy, 66, surrendered her hard fault battle with cancer Tuesday November 15, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Merle grew up in Greensboro where she was one of the late Anna and Chadwick Bryson’s six children. She attended Grimsley High School, before becoming a Master Cabinet Maker at Old Master Kitchen Cabinets where she worked for over 40 years. She was very active in local ASPCA and loved her cats. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren with an unyielding passion.
Merle is survived by her loving husband of 47 years James Roddy of the home; daughters Kelley Roddy Owens and her husband Phil of Seagrove and Wendy Roddy Hamby and her husband David of Kernersville; Granddaughter Josie K. Millikan of Kernersville; grandson T. Gray Kiger and his wife Amy of Kernersville; Great-Grandchildren Cole, Kaleb, Madalynn, and Sammy; Brothers and Sisters; the late Kenneth Bryson and remaining George Bryson, Coleen Forbes, Robin Coltrane, Maxine Hopkins and G. Matthew Bryson and many other extended Family and Friends.
The Family will be respecting Merle’s wishes not to have a formal service but hope that you will share your special memories on the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral website.
The Family would like to give a special thanks to Janie Brooks for her selfless acts of love and care of her Aunt Merle.
Family and friends may sign, and view the guestbook at www.Pierce-JeffersonFuneralService.com.
