The Salisbury Street bridge is now open for traffic. Jeremy Guy, NC Department of Transportation assistant resident engineer, said construction on the new bridge started back in March and was opened shortly after crews finished striping the lanes on the Forest Drive side of the bridge. He said there are still a few “punch list” items to be finished before the job is completely finished and handed over to the Town of Kernersville so they can install decorative lighting.
