Christopher “Chris” Mueller, 22, of Kernersville passed away Friday February 28, 2020.
Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Saturday March 7, 2020 at Oaklawn Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Boyce officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM Saturday at the church.
A native of Forsyth County, Chris was the son of Tammy Smothers Mueller and David Mueller. He was a 2015 graduate of Glenn High School. Chris grew up with a natural talent for baseball and participated in the Kernersville Little League at Swaim Park. At the age of 13, he was a member of an All-Star Team that traveled to Cooperstown, NY where he hit a “Home Run”. Chris was a kind, loving son and friend who loved his family dearly.
Survivors include his mother, Tammy of Kernersville, NC; father, David and Tammy B. of Mebane, NC; maternal grandmother, Brenda Smothers; cousin, Kathy Kiger; uncle, Vic Smothers and wife, Gwen and their children, Erica Edwards, Easton Edwards, Jordan Smothers, and Lacy Smothers; great uncle, David Smothers; and great aunt, Jane Sechrist.
Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Horace “Dick” Smothers; paternal grandparents, David and Judy Mueller; and great aunt, Mary Mueller Slough.
