A recent study involving more than a thousand children in western N.C. appears to show what professionals have long believed … that the effects of bullying can and do carry over into adulthood. According to William E. Copeland, PhD, of Duke University Medical Center, bullied kids were about three to five times more likely to have an anxiety or panic disorder or agoraphobia through their 20s.
