Kernersville – Ms. Donna Kay Walker Crook, passed away February 2, 2020 at her home. She was born May 14, 1947 in Winston Salem to the late Virgil O. Walker and Hazel Watkins Walker. Donna was a graduate of Reynolds High School in 1965 and Forsyth Tech. in 1977 with an associate’s degree in nursing. She retired from WFUBMC in 2007. She is survived by her two sons, R. Lee Crook, Jr. and wife Angie and Neil Crook, three grandsons, Chris, Aaron, and Ethan Crook and one sister, Brenda Munday and husband Reggie, multiple nieces and nephews, and special friends Pat Tucker and her mother Jonnie Tucker. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Kernersville Moravian Church with Pastor Christy Clore officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday, February 7, 2020 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers the memorials may be made to Kernersville Moravian Church 504 S. Main street Kernersville, NC 27284, or to Cancer Services 3175 Maplewood Avenue Winston Salem, NC 27103.
