Mayor Pro Tem and five-term Alderman Dana Caudill Jones was recognized as the 2012 Citizen of the Year during the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards banquet on Tuesday night. The Citizen of the Year award is presented annually to an individual for his or her contributions to the community over the course of the current year, but it should be noted that the recipient’s accomplishments are rarely restricted to a particular year. For more, see the Thursday, Nov. 15 edition.
