The Kernersville Police Department will have extra eyes and ears around town this holiday season to help curb an anticipated increase in robberies. Chief Ken Gamble said they have organized a team of six officers to serve on the Holiday Task Force between Thursday, Nov. 15 and Wednesday, Dec. 26. The undercover officers will be stationed in and around South Main Street to target robberies, thefts and other criminal activity near the shopping centers.
