Superintendent update

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Superintendent Beverly Emory spoke before the county commissioners on Thursday to provide them with an update on a number of issues and matters facing the district. Two of the things Emory is most excited about include $2 million the district received from the Winston-Salem Foundation for professional development over the next five years and $900,000 for 23 new playgrounds at Title I schools.
