Point-of-sale tax legislation

A bill that proposed to take the majority of point-of-sale tax revenues away from municipalities with the highest revenues and redistribute them to poorer areas of the state has found its way into the state Senate’s budget bill and a number of local leaders aren’t happy about the situation.
