NF Walk

The Annual Neurofibromatosis (NF) Walk and 5K in N.C. will be held at Fourth of July Park on Saturday, May 16. NF is a genetic disorder that disturbs cell growth in the nervous system, causing tumors to form on nerve tissue which may develop anywhere in the nervous system. The tumors are usually non-cancerous; however, effects can cause complications such as hearing loss, loss of vision, severe pain and learning. For more, see the Tuesday, May 12, 2015 edition.
