Following a report in a local newspaper over the weekend that Hanes Magnet and Lowrance Middle schools sit next to one of the state’s top 20 most toxic waste sites, parents and citizens confronted the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education Tuesday night with calls to shut down both educational institutions.
