Athletic Trainers

July 26, 2012

Members of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education (WS/FCS) have signed off on a proposal that would enable the school system’s athletic trainer program to continue for one more year. WS/FCS Superintendent Don Martin has been in discussion with both Wake Forest Baptist and Forsyth medical centers to provide funding for the trainers at least this year, with each paying the school system $250,000 during the 2011-12 fiscal year and WS/FCS contributing another $200,000 to $250,000 to the program. For more information see the Tuesday, July 24 edition of the Kernersville News.
