Federal Complaint

July 26, 2012

Attorneys for Forsyth County Sheriff Bill Schatzman and Forsyth County have filed a response to a federal complaint against the sheriff and county regarding the 2010 firing of a deputy who also serves in the N.C. Army National Guard (NCANG).
According to Wednesday’s court filing, Schatzman denied that he violated a 1994 act protecting members of the military from being fired from their jobs within one year of their service without cause. For more information see the Thursday, July 26 edition of the Kernersville News.
