Education and public safety dominated Tuesday’s budget discussion at the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners meeting. Citizens spoke at the public hearing, pleading with Board members to support the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System, Forsyth Technical Community College and the Safe on Seven Program through the District Attorney’s office. Citizens also expressed their support for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and a desire to increase the fire tax rate for several volunteer departments in the county.
