A new computer system rolled out this year throughout the state’s 115 school districts hasn’t had the smoothest of implementations, but officials in the N.C. Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) said problems continue to improve. PowerSchool replaced the NCDPI’s outdated NC WISE computer system and allows schools to keep track of student information such as enrollment, athletic eligibility, high school transcripts and grades.
