Teacher charged

Winston-Salem police arrested a Glenn High School science teacher early Thursday morning after receiving information that he allegedly had been involved in an inappropriate relationship with a female student. According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, Joseph Michael Hester, 24, of 4260 Witherow Drive in Winston-Salem, was arrested just after 1 a.m. He was charged with one count each of alleged indecent liberties with a student, statutory sex offense and indecent liberties with a child.
