Preliminary budget talks

Town Manager Curtis Swisher said the 2013-14 fiscal year budget will be difficult to balance due to a decline in property values and other state revenue sources. Swisher is in the very early stages of preparing the budget, but it looks like the Town will have to overcome an $800,000 shortfall even with a 3.5 cent tax increase to generate revenue.
