Three injured

The Kernersville Police responded to a call from 1035 Duggins St. Apt. 2 at 2:38 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6. One male and one female were sent to the hospital in an ambulance from blunt force trauma injuries, according to Kernersville Police Chief Ken Gamble. Gamble stated that one man also went to the hospital in an ambulance from an apparent gun shot wound to the leg. One nearby worker stated that he heard yelling from the apartment prior to the arrival of law enforcement officials.
Gamble said he did not believe the injuries sustained were life-threatening, but there is no way to know for sure shortly after the incident occurred.
The identities of the three injured people at 1035 Duggins St. were not released at the scene of the crime and there is now an ongoing investigation into the incident.
