In an effort to encourage more recycling and reduce cost, the Kernersville Recycling Center is making a few changes. Town of Kernersville Director of Public Services Doran Maltba said residents may notice a difference in their recycling bins soon as they replace the 18-gallon bin with a 95-gallon rollout cart. He added that the initial investment will be paid for in the first two years. “After year two, there will be around $72,000 in savings and in years five through seven, there will be around $125,000 in savings,” he said.
